Introducing the world's smallest USB-C to USB-A adapter. Use it to charge up your phone and other standard USB devices or transfer data at USB 3.0 SuperSpeed (up to 5Gbps). Made out of durable aluminum alloy, the mini adapter comes in 3 colors to match the new MacBook 12-inch. It's also compatible with the Chromebook Pixel and other USB-C devices (OnePlus 3 incompatible). For optimal use, use the mini adapter with an uncovered laptop. If your MacBook is covered by a case, the mini adapter may not plug in properly. Do push the adapter hard to the end when you hear the click. Not for micro USB port or mini USB port.

It does exactly what it says it does, and I now have an easy way to connect a USB3 device to my MacBook Pro's thunderbolt port.
Overall: Good product.

Every USB device I have connected works perfectly. As I use my MBP for design, a graphics tablet, printer, scanner, and other peripherals have no lag and it is as if you are plugging your device straight into your laptop. I have a hard drive that I use for my Time Machine backups and the speed is just as quick thanks to the incredible design and engineering that has gone into this.
As this thing is small you are likely to misplace it, so I would recommend getting a couple - at the current price, it's easy to justify.

You can see the difference in physical size between the first gen (left) and updated revision (right). The smaller one works perfectly.
Nonda's customer service is fantastic. I was quickly sorted out with a replacement at no charge to myself. They are very helpful and respond to emails very quickly. Thanks Nonda!
Th connector at both ends are snug, there's no lose connections.
Any USB device I've connected has functioned just as it would on any other USB A connection.
The small size makes it simple to pack into a laptop bag or tablet sleeve. It would be nice if the device could be made even shorter since the further it sticks out the more likely it is to catch on something. Build wise it's a solid little device, the outer aluminum shell has a texture which allows for a good grip that makes pulling it out of a connection easy.
The appearance is nice, no flashy colors or markings, it looks ok when pulled out in a customers board room while doing a presentation. I needed this for a Google Slate tablet since the Chrome OS can;t reconnect to any paired Bluetooth devices without putting the device into the pairing process. Anything that's USB connected Chrome finds even after powering cycling as well as going into a sleep cycle. Without this adapter doing presentations would be areal pain with Chrome.
Considering how easy it is to use, the small package and it's universal connectivity, it's well priced.
One thing tho, if you plug in a USB any kind of connection into the adapter and then in the laptop it won't work. Frst you need to plug in the adaptor into the laptop and only after that the usb lead and then it will work. it took me a minute to realize that. before that i thought i have to send it back.
Good for the money and it does what it supposed to. Recommended.
It is small, very well built and it performs as it should. I can't say anything bad about this item.
Compared to the Apple equivalent:
- The Apple version costs roughly double the Nonda
- The Apple version is made of plastic. Nonda is made of metal (3 available colours)
- The Apple version offers no visual feedback. Nonda has a small LED that shows when it is powered
- The Apple version is is made of two pieces with a wire that connects them. Nonda is a single small piece.
Even with all the cool-factor that Apple tries (and often fails) to inject in its products, I can't see any good reason to buy the Apple version.
P.S. I have no links with the producer or the seller. I paid the full price for the item without receiving anything more than what I paid for.
The design is beautiful. Matches the new Macbook colours perfectly and is very simple to use. Plug and Play. Simply the best adapter if you require a single usb port for your new Macbook as it takes the minimum amount of space with no cables dangling about. In terms of compatiblity, I've tested a bunch of usb products and it worked with every single one with out fail.
The only fault i can think of is that it hangs out over your macbook, so you need to be careful not to knock it when moving your laptop around as not to damage your USB-C port on your new Macbook.
I will update the review if i find any serious faults, but for now, its a perfect accessory for the new Macbook

Seems to be more common on MacBooks but all you have to do is go onto your router settings and make sure you either set up 5ghz wifi or dual band and run both. Fixed it for me and my wifi no longer shuts off on 5ghz.
Hope this helps anyone who’s having this issue!
THE GOOD: First thing is that this is very nicely made. Solid. USB Flash Drives insert with ease, stay snug and also remove nicely. I have no concerns about this lasting for a long time. It has a small LED light on the top of it to show when it's connected to a USBC connection. But, will you be able to see that light?
THE BAD: For me the answer is No. When I first inserted this right side up so I could see the LED I was disappointed that it was thick enough to raise the edge of my laptop off the ground.
However, as USB-C is reversible, I then realized that they have designed this connector with an offset. This means that if I turn the connector upside down, it's actually much slimmer profile on the bottom. This fits much better for me, but as a result there is no LED light for me to see if it's connected properly.
But, the fact that you essentially get to choose two options for thickness is really nice. I just wish the LED was visible on both sides, or the end.
PACKAGING: very minimal, was able to tear it open with my hands in seconds.
COLOUR: I did order the Space Grey - and I think I got Silver. My laptop is Grey and this does not match at all. I have a Space Grey iPad and this too, does not match what I was sent.
CONCLUSION: Let's be honest, seeing the little LED light isn't a deal breaker. And ultimately I'm really happy with this and I think for the $ it's the best I could get right now. I'm going to order another. 5 stars because it's totally worth it.
- The female USB-A end is a very snug fit. You should be aware of that when unplugging a USB-A plug - don't pull it by the "cord", make sure you have a good grip on the actual end of the USB-A plug and the nonda adapter in either hand and pull apart carefully. Otherwise, the adapter could break if you pull too hard. Read a review of this potential hazard where the reviewer pulled hard and the adaptor casing stripped away as the USB-A end got stuck.
- The USB-C end needs to really be snapped into your computer port. If you push hard enough, you'll hear a "click" when it's in securely. The light comes on even before this "click", but then it's much less secure. I would imagine previous reviews of intermittent connectivity were when the USB-C part wasn't fully "clicked" in.
- The adapter itself is fairly wide - if you're using this on the new 2016 MBP, you may not be able to fit another USB-C cable into the adjacent port. The USB-C power cord *just fits* next to it, if you have a cable with a wider USB-C end, it likely won't (for example, no way you could fit 2 of these nonda adapters side-by-side). If you have the new 2016 MBP without Touchbar for example (with only 2 adjacent USB-C ports), something to keep in mind, although I can confirm the MBP power cable will fit.
Other than that, it's a great little adapter at a good price to ease the transition to USB-C!
It broke. I thought that the problem with the aluminum "case" won't be anything serious but because it was moving, it fell and the adapter literally broke in half somewhere inside and now it's not connecting at all. The light is still on when I put in the output of my laptop but it doesn't[t work. Sorry to say that - Guys, buy something else.
The Nonda device is brilliant. I've done two backups to my external hard discs and both have worked without any issues. If like me you're looking for a device for your MacBook Pro 2016 or Mac with these new ports then you can't go wrong this device - brilliant. Just wished I'd bought this first.
The only picky element is that once it's in there is quite a bit of movement in it, none of the items I plug in don't have any movement, however, this has it in abundance by comparison. That said it's not for playing with, just plug in and leave.
A little bit of heat from it when plugged in for a while, nothing to be concerned about though.
Bottom line, if you just want a single adaptor that matches your space grey device then this is the one.
