I love the flavour, creativity and complexity of the dishes in this book. It's definitely been one of any favourite cookbooks to work through. However, I've found every recipe excessively rich. For me it's meant writing off the first dish, then seriously dialling down the offending ingredient to make it more palatable then re-cooking. I mean things like ground cloves or truffle oil - ingredients that if used in a heavy handed way can make the dish hard to digest.
Love the cookbook - but upon receipt, there was a very noticeable dent on the back cover from shipping. This was a gift, and luckily my friend still loves it and doesn't mind the dent - but I'd prefer to not give damaged presents.
