To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
My daughter has several of these sets. I think we may have received one that was a little used. Was advertised as new but the battery pull tab had been removed and the tape on the outside of the retail packaging had been opened. It did work on but looks like we got someone’s return. Some of the pages had crease marks as you can tell someone had flipped through the pages. No big deal, my four year old will do some damage to them.
I had hoped this would keep my 4 year old occupied with a non-screen activity (no screen judgment), but she is more interested in pushing the buttons without following the directions than in following the story. It’s quite annoying at this point. Not a win for us, but maybe for a more mature reader
It was a perfect gift for my 5 year old as it's pretty inexpensive and she loves Elsa. I did not read the reviews prior to purchase and it was a big mistake as it was known to not work or break soon after purchase. My daughter gently used it for 3 days and now some of the button does not work at all.
It's cute and our 4 year old loved it, but have replaced batteries 3 times in 3 months with limited use. Not sure what could be wrong but didn't really know there was a problem until after the return window had closed.
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. When she opened it yesterday morning and tried to play with it, we found the purple button on the last row of the Reader does NOT work. It's a shame because she seems interested in it. Hopefully we can get a replacement soon.
