To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This edition is much like the first volume—if you didn’t like the printing or thin pages or binding of the first one, this one does nothing to change that. I was personally okay with those things, so I decided to purchase volume 2.
But my card is missing. In volume 1 it was sort of wedged behind the front cover (and was bent as a result) but this one, despite advertising with a sticker on the shrink wrap that it’s included, is just not there. I hope Kodansha will reach out to customers and offer to send them the missing cards.
I'm loving this collector's edition. They have a nice hard cover, and the paper is nicer than a regular manga. The first page in the volume is an illustration printed in color. I've purchased volume one at my local book store, and volume two from Amazon. Both of my volumes came with a card, which once you collect them all will make a bigger picture. The cards measure 2.5 by 3.5 inches. These volumes come wrapped in plastic to keep the cards in, and helps protect the cover. I was hesitant to order through Amazon, afraid the cover would get damaged since it is easy to scratch. I'm not sure if Amazon always does this, but my book arrived in a box instead of an envelope. It was in perfect condition.
This is my first time reading the series, I love it! I love the story and think it's really fun and so are the cards she collects along the way. If you are going to compare this to old versions then just stop and don't buy it! You will be one of the many needless complainers!
