Russell Watson is a very good tennor. However, I could not decide whether I was listening to an audio verson of "Stars in Their Eyes", or impressions of a number of different artists. The arrangements, particularly of Vienna and Bridge Over Troubled Water, were weak in comparrison to the original versions. The operatic tracks ranged from a sound similar to that of Harry Seacombe or Mario Lanza, ie singing from the throat as opposed to the chest as with the really great tennors. The performance of Nessun Dorma, was clearly better than I (or a great many others) could sing it, but bore no comparrison to Luciano Pavarotti, or (in my opinion) the best performance by Andrea Bocelli. All in all a pleasant, easy listening type of CD but for the serious addict try "The Essential Pavarotti" or "Romanza" (or others) from Andrea Bocelli
