Cut through about 100 linear feet of steel roofing (26 Ga) and it worked well. Cuts quickly and cleanly and doesn't overheat the edge. You will want eye protection, I wore a full face shield. It was noticeably slower after cutting 100' of roofing, cutting through some wood, and also the occasional clump of dirt while cutting panels on the ground. It might have been nice to have it last a little longer (thus only 4 stars), but overall it made cutting the panels really quick and easy despite not being treated all that well.
I have had many Planer Saw Blades over the years. I prefer Planer Blades to carbide tipped because they deliver such a smooth cut, requiring very little sanding on edge cut or end cut. This blade is non-functional... it won't track straight and wanders all over the cutting path... squeezes in toward the rip fence and then wanders off the other way by 1/4 inch. I can't return this blade as I bought it last summer. The blade must be defective as no manufacturer would allow this to be sold. I have thought of taking it in to get sharpened, to see if they can correct it, but I'm sure that I would be better off to simply order another make of Planer Blade
worked AMAZINGLY for the first 5 cuts.... then... well thats when i realized i was an idiot. Regular chop saws spin too fast for cutting metal.
don't make the 100$ mistake i made. surface cutting speed is something every machinist understands, but us regular folk don't realize exists. You absolutely need a saw that spins at the recommended speed. this is for a specialty saw. actually it'll work nice in wood... but 5 cuts into metal and WHAMMO. dull blade. garbage. then tears.
Very happy with this blade. Used it to cut galvanized sheet metal for roofing and every cut was clean and smooth. I don't know how long these blades should remain sharp for but I cut 40 lengths of 3' each plus other little things here and there and the blade remained sharp the whole time.
I'm installing vinyl board and batten sidings and this blade cuts the vinyl sidings really well. Nice clean cuts. I have this installed on a small sliding mitre saw I picked up from Lowes and it cuts a piece of board and batten horizontally without issue.
J’ai cherché en magasin une lame qui fonctionnait sur ma Black&decker a batterie , je n’ai point trouver mais cette lame m’a vraiment surpris Elle est plus silencieuse que celle d’origine et coupe merveilleusement bien rien n’a dire.
This was delivered quickly and has been very useful for our new siding job. It cuts the vinyl siding smoothly and without effort or chipping. I’m not sure how the price compares with stores because I couldn’t find one outside of Amazon.
