To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The price is too expensive for what you get. I compared three products and the cheapest one (Sally generic For Shimmer Lights) not only is less expensive, but seems to do a better job and is darker in color. And I can just ride over to the local Sally store and pick up while out shopping rather than pay for shipping.
I want to say that my wife loves this product but, we received the most recent shipment today and the package smelled like product yet the package integrity hadn't been compromised. We expected to find a leaking tube when we opened the package but, what we found instead was a tube that had obviously leaked in the warehouse and had taped closed with masking tape. We have no way of knowing how much product leaked out or if it had been tampered with in any way. Hence the two star review.
For 15 years, I have used Aveda's Clove conditioner intermittently to rejuvenate my medium brown hair color. It leaves my hair with a beautiful shine and softness. However, I can't use it daily as it the color looks overdone. So, I thought I'd try a non-color depositing version of Aveda's conditioner to use daily, in between the "Clove" days. This Blue Malva doesn't fit the bill...just a so-so conditioner. I've found that Back to Basics' line of conditioners are a better alternative.
