I am a novice at all this...I'm about 90% transitioned to my natural color which is a blend of white and gray. I love my natural color and was nervous that using a blue product would impact the color...it did not. I've only used it once so we'll see how I feel after a few months. I wanted to write a review though to address a few issues. First of all I detest the smell of Aveda products....and this left a very light scent which I barely notice. Secondly, Aveda could you make the instructions and ingredients list on the back any smaller? This infuriates me as I'm sure a quite a few women using this product are a bit older. Seriously...I am 65 and have 20/40 vision and I will have to get a magnifying glass to read the instructions on the tube and this is totally unacceptable..... That said the product left my hair feeling clean and light. (I've ordered the shampoo too but it was on back order. )
Although the product is ok, the cheap plastic cap Aveda put on the tube broke the first time it dropped in the floor. And although I love the Aveda Malva shampoo, the conditioner has a harsh bleach smell. I won't be re-ordering this expensive conditioner as I don't feel Aveda is keeping up the standard I have come to expect.
I find it to be very good for taking out the brassiness. But it leaves my hair very dry, I cannot use it on it's own, i have to mix it with a Kerastase mask, no moisture at all. Also need to use quite a lot each time, it seems that the bottle won't last me more than 6-8 weeks, which makes it quite expensive,
Crazy expensive for such a small tube. The conditioner doesn't seem any better than other types I have gotten at the drugstore for silver/gray hair. I would not buy this again. It doesn't even have that nice of a smell.
