I have used Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine for several years and never had any problems. This product cause a severe rash and once I stopped using it the rash went away. You cant even request a return or refund. I had another bottle that was almost empty and the new one smelled nothing like it Wondering if it was tampered with?? Seller could at least offer a refund and I would happily return the unused portion. Been shopping Amazon for years first problem I have ever had. I would not even give it a 1 star but the system makes you in order to submit.
NOT HAPPY..!! I have used Paul Mitchell Hair Spray for 40 years. I ordered a bottle of Paul Mitchell Hair Spray from Amazon for the first time. The first thing I noticed was it "DID NOT" smell like a Paul Mitchell that I had smelled for 40-years..!! I thought the formula was changed. I used it and that night I started itching everywhere. I had an allergic reaction on my neck and shoulders..!! I thought it was something else causing the allergic reaction. Then the next day after using this Amazon Purchased Paul Mitchell Hairspray again, it happened again. I had an allergic reaction again. I have used this Paul Mitchell since 1980. I have 4-daughters that also used it. They all agreed it does not smell like Paul Mitchell. We compared it to another bottle that had some left. It is my opinion, and correct me if I'm wrong, that someone poured a generic hair spray into these bottles and sold it as a Paul Mitchell product..!! Amazon did give me a credit for this purchase. This is not Amazon's fault. If anyone else experienced this, please tell me..!! Lance
I've used this firm hold Paul Mitchell hairspray for many, many years and loved it. I would never switch because I was convinced there was nothing better. The last bottles I bought (2 at once), are both horrible. The nice watermelon smell is gone. It stinks horrible and it makes my hair flat and mushy. It has no hold. I don't know if this is "fake" or if Paul Mitchell did something to their original formula.
I just went and ordered from a local salon (JC Penney) to see if maybe someone just put some phony stuff on Amazon. I sure hope that's all it is. If the spray I get from JC Penney performs the same as what I bought from Amazon, I'll never use it again.
I remember the days of cheap, worthless hair spray and that's just what this is like now. I've even lost a bunch of hair that I'm now thinking is because of this spray!
1. I hate using hairspray. 2. My hairstylist recommended this because it is very light. 3. I need it for my longer bangs, so I bought a bottle. 4. Scent is great. 5. It is very light & works well - LOVE the product. I am converted, but don't tell my hairstylist!! It arrived alone in a box with bubble wrap NEXT to it. It was in a plastic bag. There was hairspray all over the bag. A piece of the pump action inside the nozzle tube was broken. Every time I have bought a Paul Mitchell product, the nozzle has busted, or is not taped and has leaked or. Every. Time. Need to rethink packaging.....
The bottle leaked everywhere in the box. The lid had been partially secured with cellophane tape which in itself left a sticky residue. The lid was half capped but leaked and entire bottle was sticky with leaked hairspray. I will be surprised if the sprayer works well but was too disgusted with all the leakage to try it. Hairspray coated the sprayer portion and all around where the sprayer screws on. I just put it away for now. Very disappointing.
Best spray product I’ve ever used! If you start using Paul Mitchell freeze and shine you wouldn’t try to find other products that contain the same thing. At least that’s what happened to me and this is the only product I always use for sprays. In terms of smell, I love it. There wouldn’t be any negative opinions about to smell of this product have achieved. Other spray products use gas to take out the spray jell but this product uses just liquid when it takes out the jell to your hair which I felt also health friendly.
I’m not sure if this is the real deal. The label is missing the Paul Mitchell, and it smells and feels a little different than usual since I always use Paul Mitchell spray. This was the cheapest one on amazon so I went with it. My hair is changing so maybe that’s why it feels different. But I’d prob get it from a different seller that I’ve done so before.
I have been using this product for over 20 years, but this hairspray smells terrible. I'm not sure if the seller did something to it or if it's old, but it just doesn't smell like it should. Stick to going to your local stylist to buy this product in person and know you're getting the same quality item each time.
