To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
These strings are ideal for students. Unlike Red Label or D'Addario, these strings are soft on the left hand, and produce a better quality tone, even on lower end instruments. Students will feel more encouraged to practice if they have strings that respond to their movements. I played them myself as a student, and now as a teacher of 20 years, I recommend them to all my students.
Good strings, but their tone isn't my cup of tea. For my ear, they're too bright, especially on a violin that tends that way, tonally, anyway. Still, they're established and respected strings, and its hard to say anything bad about them that isn't related to my personal taste in strings/sound.
