I am a 6' 2" man with long hair (down to the middle of back.) Having tried cheaper non-branded brushes over the years I will only now buy Denman ones.
Yes, they cost quite a bit more compared to the cheap supermarket equivalents but there is a good reason for that.
This brush is very sturdy and well made. It glides through my tangled hair with relative ease and minimal pulling. The bristles are initially rather sharp but quickly dull so it doesn't scratch after about a week of use.
One star knocked off because of the handle redesign. It's now rather lightweight for me compare to the old design of this brush, and is completely flat rather than curved, which makes it a little uncomfortable to use. Fortunately, the rubber insert is removable, so I was able to swap the new handle for the old one.
Like most new items now, they are not of the quality they once were, we live in a disposable world. Given all the noise from the green/re-cycling brigade, this is somewhat ironic.
But to be more upbeat/positive: For as long as you treat them with care, good for 2-3 years, be very careful when cleaning, the outer edge will break off if anything like a comb or another brush is used - that didn't used to be the case, but is now.
I have always wanted a denman brush but thought it was just a brush. However if you have curly hair and you brush your hair with this while doing a wash and go. Man! You can thank me later... This brush is a good fit in the hand and is very study. There is nothing fancy about the brush but it detangles very well and a nice brush. Main thing is it gives popping curls.
So many YouTubers raved about this brush so I wanted to try it but I'm underwhelmed. I tried it for curl definition - I have wavy, fine and thin hair. I feel I could have scrunched my hair with similar results as the curl activator does the hard work, not this brush. The picture is representative of the first day, curls got ruined overnight unfortunately.
Brush does not come in the advertised packaging but comes in a dirty article bag with denman stamped on it. Brush is fine, no complaints as it does what you expect a brush to do! Just a shame the packaging is so poor as ended up with some misshapen bristles
Nice little hair brush. The bristles are completely straight with no bobbles on the end so it gets right into the roots, this is good to get all the tangles out but it can be a bit spiky so you need to be delicate when using.
