To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Very disappointing knife. I did all the product r see arch and picked a chefs knife that had the most positive reviews and the highest number of 4 and 5 star reviews. At first I was delighted - I even cut a finger just by my hand glancing against the knife. 4 weeks later, I’m throwing it out. It’s so blunt it needs force to push through a tomato. I’ve used a sharpener and sharpened it on steel every time I’ve used it. Can run my ginger along the edge without any kind of cut at all. Definitely not recommended. Aside from that, the handle is not comfortable at all and the knife feels so light it just doesn’t seem to feel good in the hand. I guess you get what you pay for, so bought new knives and threw this away.
You can't argue with the price, and it is a great knife - Rather handle heavy and the blade comes down near the grip but if you are going to order a knife from Amazon then its what you'd expect! - Been using it every day for weeks now and its still great, gave it a sharpen recently and it was back to box fresh.
I have 2 more chef’s knife and I am very happy with them. But I couldn’t use this one. I cut my fingers two times and I stopped using it. BUT my friend said that was the knife he was looking for. Maybe it is not suitable for women. I couldn’t solve.
Well made knife, very sharp - managed to cut my finger within 13 seconds of opening the package which was entirely my fault - blade is a little on the thick side compared to my Sabatier chefs knife but that cost many times more than this. I would buy it again.
Bought this as it was the highest rated knife. Definitely sharp. Excellent value for money. Great for general slicing but if you are serious about your cooking you might want to spend a bit more and buy a heavier knife for more precise cutting and less stress on your wrist.
It's very light and easy to hold with a good grip. It was going good for about 2 weeks. Very sharp but after that dont know what happened. now it does not cut that good. Had tried sharpening it few times but no difference.
I have mixed feeling about this knife. On the price I got it for it seems OK. However the knife is very light! Has no weight so it makes it difficult to cut even the most basic items. You need to exert some effort to chop an onion. I should have known it was going to be light from the handle being plastic. But it's OK. Overall, I would have purchased a heavier knife but I'm happy enough to keep it.
Really good all-purpose knife after years with dull knives this was a really welcome purchase to my kitchen. Really practical it's sharp as a razor. Love it. Had it some months now was getting a bit dull. 2 or 3 wipes on a sharpener file and hey presto like a razor again.
