Ok, I was very excited about this product since my bunny loves tunnels, but once I got it I realized the plastic is very thin and my bunny found it irresistible to chew on, which is out of character for him. I had to take it away as I don't need a flimsy toy to cost us $$$ for surgery to remove a plastic obstruction. Great idea, just poor materials make this high risk for animals who chew... which is the type of pet this is being advertised for. Sad.
I have to say my dwarf hamster really liked the tunnel, but it was absolutely TOO large for his cage (and I have a very large cage); and to make my point, my chi-mix little dog was sniffing the tunnel and ran her head all the way down the tunnel and became stuck and HYSTERICAL. I had a horrible time trying to free her head, and thought at one time, I would have to take her to the emergency vet. I am going to order some tunnels but very small ones for my dwarf buddy.
Be careful! If you have a hamster or rabbit & they are big chewers.. My hamster ended up eating this tunnel! He is okay & thank god nothing happened to him. If your pet is a chewer than I wouldn’t buy it.
This is good temporary use for small animals verses large ones like rabbits. The ridges allow for cleaning to be almost impossible, so if there is small feces good luck. Might have to get a metal tool to reach in. Material is decent though. My rats seemed to enjoy the hiding space.
I bought this for my guinea pigs, one of whom is on the large side, and they won't use it because they'd have to squeeze themselves through. I'm sure it would be fine for hamsters or mice, but even the large one is too small for my piggies.
My guinea pigs inevitably started chewing so much on this I had to stop using it for their floor playtime. The hard plastic is no good for piggies. I will be getting a different tunnel made of different material. Oh well, you live, you learn.
