I thought I'd treat myself any buy this for a change, what a waste of money! It smells nice and cleans hair but I like a stronger purple shampoo, that tones my white blonde hair better. I use shimmer lights now and find that's he best, or lee Stafford bleach blonde from boots. Wouldn't buy again, good delivery time though.
This product made my hair feel extremely brittle and dry, more so than any other purple toning shampoo I have used. On top of that, the smell of this product is truly nauseating, and as other reviewers have pointed out, some of the chemicals have a high toxicity rating. I recommend passing on this one and trying another purple shampoo.
I am no expert on beauty supplies or purple shampoo in general, but I keep asking myself if this is authentic Paul Mitchell or fake. The smells between the shampoo and conditioner are different. Something close to watermelon on the shampoo, but then smells extremely of chemicals once washed out. I have used both the shampoo and conditioner, and as it says on the bottle, it is not guaranteed unless sold in a salon. Well, this just might be fake? I haven't seen any results and have been using for 3 weeks now. I am not super brassy, but the toner is not doing anything and my hair is blonde, when it's supposed to be gray. I could be misinformed but I really don't think this is effective.
Box arrived, and we opened it to a purple mess all over the place. They had thoughtfully put the bottle in a plastic bag but the top was only halfway screwed on, so there was a lot of product all over the inside of the bag and all over the bottle. Thanks Amazon! But it does smell nice.
I really wanted to like this shampoo but I don't. I've given it a fair chance but it does absolutely nothing to remove brassiness. My hair looks exactly the same. Also, it leaves my hair feeling incredibly dry. It does not lather well so it makes my hair knot up. I'm not too sure about this, but I doubt this is an official Paul Mitchell product, as Paul Mitchell products always seem to do their job. I'm surprised. I wish I could get my money back! This shampoo did absolutely nothing and I've tried it a good ten times. If anything, it just makes my hair feel worse.
I HAVEN’T TRIED THE PRODUCT YET. Two stars is for packaging. I received the shampoo with product all over the outside and the cap was loose. If I’m spending the money on the shampoo, I expect for it to arrive without wasted product all over the outside.
Wouldn't recommend. This product did nothing for my hair that it was suppose to. I normally go with matrix color obsessed purple shampoo but decided to try something new bc matrix tends to be too strong and can turn my hair purple. After trying it and seeing no results after keeping it on my hair for 10 to 15 minutes I think I'll go back to my first preference.
I purchased this product because it was for blonde hair and it was Paul Mitchell. Unfortunately, it fell short for me. I am not a fan of the smell...at all. It is also too heavy for my hair. I have very fine, thin hair and it just weighs it down.
When I took the bottle out of the packaging, the sides of the bottle were sticky with shampoo. The cap/lid/top was not sealed in any away, and the cap had not been closed tightly. Result: A mess; less shampoo that there should be; and a concern: why was it not closed tightly? what may have been put into the shampoo?
