I was expecting the color to be lighter. It really is more beige/pale brown than ivory. But it doesn't bother me at all. Second, I was expecting the rest to be hard acrylic or similar glass-like plastic. It's not at all, it's hollow soft rubber. Reminds me of a dog toy. It probably works much better than a hard plastic design, because it grips on the clothing - hard plastic would slip I guess, so I'm not implying it's a bad thing.
Also, I got caught jumping right into the instructions. You should experiment with the rest to find the best position for it. Only then, you should wash the handset, peel the adhesive protector, etc.
No way I'm stiking that on my white phone. Was expecting a cream item like on the pic when you move your mouse on the "ivory" choice, but this color is NOT representative of the brownish item I received. Because of "the" desease i waited weeks B4 opening the package, now it's too late to return it. Will have to find someone who still has an old light brown phone from the seventies, good luck with that.
I purchased these for work. I have neck problems, and a couple of days with my neck cranked to one side trying to hold a phone on my shoulder sends me to the chiropractor. These rests are a life saver! My only issue is that I have long hair, and I have to make sure the rest doesn't have hair under it or it slides right off my shoulder. Understandable since hair is slick. The foam tape they stick on with hold very well, just clean the receiver with an alcohol wipe before attaching it. If you work with people like I do who pull it off because they don't happen to like it, gorilla glue works really well to thwart their efforts. Just take the foam tape off and glue it directly to the receiver, voila!
I purchased this one to replace the one that has been on my phone for about ten years. The old one had discolored and the double-faced tape didn't stick anymore, so it was held on with rubber bands. Time for a new one. This one looks good, fits my flat handset well, and the double-faced tape stuck on with no gaps. This one does have an extra little hump in the middle that took a little getting used to. My suggestion is that you put in on temporarily with rubber bands first and make sure that you position it just right because that extra little hump really holds the handset in a set position on your shoulder.
Arrived cracked but I was too lazy to return it so I used it anyway. ..it saves me from getting a kink in my neck waiting for patents to answer their phones. The crack does not affect it's performance. Cons...the grippy silicone material is made of catches my hair and pulls it if I'm not careful how I move the phone off my shoulder after I'm finished with a call. This is old school stuff. ..some kids can't use a telephone anymore and this contraption confuses them even more! It's fun to watch. ..haha!
