I'm not a huge fan of the scent of this product, but I do like the results I'm seeing. My hands have been really dry from washing them so often, and I was looking for a cream to soothe as well as protect them, instead of just protect them like Vaseline might do. It works immediately, and I noticed results within one night of using it once. That said, it is very heavy in terms of the fragrance, nearly too much for me. It's very green, like herbs, but strong. It has layers of the scent, too, which are distinct. At first it's fine, then it gets greener, and then stronger. I just wish it wasn't so fragrant. That said, it is occlusive and soothing, and I love how my hands are feeling. It's texture is a mix between thick mousse and body butter and feels cold. It is yellow, and does kind of leave a hue behind, but nothing crazy. Overall, I like it for the winter but the scent isn't my thing, so i would have to say I won't repurchase but I will finish it.
I really like this product. I guess the smell is like cilantro in that you either love it or you hate it. It’s very distinct but I like it. Cream is thick and moisturizes well. Only issue is the seam on side of tube popped within first couple uses so it actually comes out the side of the tube easier than it does the intended place now. That’s small, I suppose, but I’ve noticed others saying the same thing, so maybe it’s something to fix, Burt’s Bees. Otherwise, this product is fantastic in my opinion.
I have been looking for a paraben-free intensive hand moisturizer. I use this only at bedtime because it is quite thick and takes a lot of effort to rub it in/absorb. The main thing I don't like is the odor, it's pretty strong. For that reason, I'll continue looking for another product.
This hand cream delivers as advertised. It works wonders on my hands. There is only one downfall to this product- it has a strong smell. I don't quite know how to describe the smell(good or bad). As someone with a sensitive nose, the smell when the cream is first applied definitely bothers me. The smell fades away quite a bit after a while. I actually like the way this cream makes my hands smell after the strong scent has faded away. The consistency of this cream is about the same as crisco, but believe me, this product works as the description says it does. It does take a while to get fully absorbed into your skin, I would say about an hour or so. I apply it at night before I go to sleep and wake up with AMAZING hands.
The very first time I used the creme (as usual for this item) although I "primed" the tube by massaging it to loosen the creme inside...the tube instantly broke at the bottom seam! I mean to say THE VERY FIRST TIME! And I was very aware of this problem because I have had this product many times before. Why can't Burt's Bees make a better tube?
This does help, but for the price that it is set to I had expected it to be a wonder healer to a younger looking set of hands. I have been trying Earth Therapeutics Hand Repair and it appears to do the same effect but for 50% less the amount. I buy this product less often now since I found one that has the same effect on my hands and for far less.
