I tested this product out past my return date unfortunately as I should have returned it. I used the size chart correctly and purchased 2 for both my girls to wear on walks as they randomly became leash reactive to dogs & people and although they are not a Vite risk, they appear friendly so the muzzle was a good deterrent for people to not get too close ( I found out it was the second fear stage causing this sudden change). My girls have managed to get them off by them selves and also take them off each other. The basket isn’t very big, therefore panting space was limited and we were using this in the summer.. If you need this because your dog bites/is a bite risk please invest in a better quality basket muzzle as this would not stand up to the task. If you need this because your dog eats things they should on walks then with close monitoring so he/she doesn’t take it off on their own then you might want to consider since it is cheap but try a larger muzzle size so they can pant. If you rely on treats to get your dog to focus on you or in general for training out in public, this muzzle is very difficult to be able to reward that good behaviour with a treat for both space to feed the treat though and also space for the dog to eat it.
Ordered 2 size 2 muzzles. Both packages say size 2. One is a size 1 and the other probably a 4. The straps and fasten clips are flimsy and difficult to use. The product would work great if you have a dog that wants to eat everything it can get in its mouth as I do because of the solid front. It would also be better if you had adjusters on each side of the straps. Overall a great product design but needs some tweaking to improve it.
Followed instructions and ordered one size up from my dog's measurements and the strap was too long. Even adjusted to the shortest length the strap that goes around my dog's head is too loose so my dog can easily get the muzzle off.
The sizes in the chart were different from the sizes described in the text. My dog's snout will 'fit' inside the muzzle I bought, but I wouldn't want to use it on her. I should have gotten it one or two sizes larger, not sure which because of this confusion. It's not particularly sturdy, but I think it would have sufficed for keeping my dog from eating things she shouldn't.
