Sent me a bottle with no cap. What use is a bottle with no cap. Requested replacement or refund and saw not eligible for refund. Granted, it's only a couple bucks but I still feel like I got scammed. Still gave it 2 stars because I have several of these bottles for backpacking and they work great, when they have a lid.
I bought two of these for long term storage of calcium hypochlorite. My research said to use High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) for storage, so that's why I ordered these. Well, this morning, after two years of storage, I went to my garage and it had a strong chlorine smell. I found that one of these bottles had shattered, that the best way to describe it. The bottom was cracked and split open. It was very brittle and easily broke apart when I touched it. I guess the High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) isn't good for long term storage of calcium hypochlorite. If anyone has advice for long term storage of calcium hypochlorite please reply to this. Thanks.
My only complaint is that I thought I was buying a 32oz bottle that had the lid attached to the bottle. The product I received didn't have an attached lid. The bottle is still nice without the attached lid, but I fear that after going camping and hiking with my kids, that they will loose the lid somehow, or at the very least, all the lid to fall on the ground, thus having us waste water cleaning it off! Basically disappointed that the lid wasn't attached!
