Although this is the best hand cream I’ve ever found I am slightly disgusted at the price increase of £4!!!! Can’t help feeling they are taking advantage at a time people are needing a good hand cream!!! As a phlebotomist I am constantly washing my hands and this cream does the job on them!! Not greasy and not to strong in smell.
As a nurse I wash my hands a lot during the shift and my hands get really really dry. I was looking for a pocket-size good quality cream that I could take to work. Took this with me to work for the first time and applied it at least 6 times over a 12 hr shift.. I got disappointed as my hands went back to being very dry after each hand wash.. washes off way too easily for a good expensive cream, makes me think it doesn’t really absorb and penetrate the skin..
For 'shea butter' I usually expect unscented, or at most a very subtle, nondescript fragrance. This, however, smells like that one woman in the office who's smoked 2 packs a day for 40 years and destroyed her sense of smell, so now she bathes every morning in cloying floral perfume, and then chokes everyone on her floor for 8 hours a day. That said, it is reasonably moisturizing, sinks in fast, and doesn't feel greasy. But the smell honestly gives me a headache, and I'm not the sort of person who is hyper-sensitive to fragrance. When I received it, I took it on a camping trip and felt terrible when I offered a male friend what I thought was "unscented hand cream," and he walked around the campsite for the rest of the day smelling like a diaper. Unfortunately this is going into the bin, which is disappointing considering the price.
This moisturizer works well. But it smells like a combination of all the cleaners they use in a public restroom. It is a strong, unmistakable scent. It’s really bizarre. I had a few coworkers smell it (because there’s no better way to make friends at a new job than to say “what do my hands smell like to you”) and they all said the same thing.
The lotion works great, but the scent is extremely strong and overbearing. If it were a musk, vanilla, citrus or plant based scent it would be fine, but the scent is like a strong gardenia extreme floral scent that you imagine would be preferred by a great, great grandmother.
