It was huge, for us it did not work at all; it is for a large space... And besides, the hammock we purchased came broken; the box was beaten and battered on the ends when it arrived, thus inside the wood was busted! It all is being returned...
The pieces fit together very poorly and are almost impossible to fit together properly. After trying for 30 minutes to connect two pieces together they slid into place unaligned where the bolt cannot be screwed in. Tried to move twist it so the hole can be accessed by using my entire body weight as leverage for over 15 minutes to no avail. In frustration I tried the other side and they would not even fit together at all. About an hour of trying and straining and all I’m left with is calloused hands and and aggravated hernia... Simple and clear instructions, bad construction. Also, the bronze finish was already flaking off right out of the box.
One of the spreader arms bent after a week of use and dropped my butt on the ground. Set up is hit and miss-- the parts do not fit particularly well together, specifically the spreader arms fitting into the base pipe. Certainly looked sturdy, but is some crap steel to give like that. Box arrived half destroyed, was initially worried I might be missing parts. Just terrible experience across the board.
Though Ive only owned this stand a shirt period of time and may change my opinion, i will say i think this item is poorly designed. Who are all these people giving 5 stars and why? If you have a longer brazilian or mayan hammock, which apparently these are designed for, attaching the ends of the hammock over the ends of the stand makes it so that your hammock is unable to spread out like it normally from a regular hang. This makes it impossible to spread out like you would want to otherwise making yoir hammock much less effective. 1 star for sturdy build. Good idea, poorly executed.
this is about a foot longer then it sas and it really doesn't hold much weight at all. I am 205 lbs and the metal bent til I was laying on the floor I didn't even get one use out of it an they wanted me to pay 70$ to return it!!!! no thank you.
