I bought this bowl for my tea cup poodle who is a very annoying and fussy eater who likes to paw at his bowl and spill his food out all over the floor. Then he discards it and walks away without eating it. This bowl is quite bottom heavy and the rim turns inwards so he has trouble turning it over so he actually ends up eating it. It is very small though, I'd say the size would suit a very small dog like a tea cup poodle or a small puppy or a kitten, not a bigger cat or a dog bigger than a tea cup. I also have a toy poodle and it is much too small for him. It's very cute and sturdy though and he likes eating out of it (he's actually fussy about such things as bowls). I'd highly recommend it for very small pets.
Good product. Shipping was fast. Use the small one for my hedgehogs water dish. Was worried she wouldn't be able to reach into it but she can. Heavy and no tipping. Just wish I could have choose the pink bowl instead of the green bowl but it's a bit ridiculous paying almost $5 extra for it.
This is a decent food dish for a small or medium rabbit (I have a Netherland dwarf lionhead mix bunny). I feed my bunny 1/2 cup of pellets per day, so this small dish is perfect, and it has enough weight not to get turned over. My only complaint is that the vibrant lime green color pictured is actually a drab sage hue (see photo).
I bought the small green bowl for my gerbils to replace the cheap plastic one that came with the cage. Despite having lots to chew on, one started chewing the bowl. This is a nice bowl that is heavy enough not to be tipped over. The ergonomic shape is also good for little creatures. It holds a bit more than necessary for a couple of gerbils but that's okay as it's footprint isn't much bigger than the bowl it replaced. I took off one star because the shade of green is a little ugly. Reminds me of a green 1970's refrigerator.
Beautiful and well-made dish. If you have small pets (like really small) be aware that the sides are not straight up but have a very slight curve, like an orb. My small frog who has no problem exiting a straight side bowl of the same height, was having trouble getting out because of the curve. A flat stone or two inside gave her the grip she needed. I’ll be purchasing a few more of these bowls for the other frogs as well.
