This litter box has been great for the first couple of months of having my rabbit. Because it is grated then everything falls to the bottom and my bunny doesn't end up tracking pee soaked wood chips etc. around the house and nothing gets stuck to her fur. However, now that my bunny is getting bigger than the litter box is too small for her. I think it's fine up until 3 to 4 months old but not big enough for a full grown rabbit.
I want to love this litter box, but I don’t. It’s fine for now, but it’s HUGE. I bought a small size, thinking it would be great for my two rats. If I had ten rats it would be more appropriate. Definitely be size conscious if you buy this and get smaller than you think you need. The parts on the side that secure the pan to the cage are great! Easy to use and secure. Unfortunately my cage is too deep for this and there is about an inch of space under it. I tossed some extra bedding down under it but since rats are borrowers they hide out down there! It’s not awful, and for someone with a larger pet it might work out a lot better, as the overall quality is still great!
hello I purchased this for my Netherland dwarf bunny who is really small. However this is not big enough for her to use. It is good quality and I would recommend this for a guinea pig or a smaller pet.
3 stars for quality but this litter box doesn’t even fit properly in the corners of cage; it takes over so much more space than my old littler and now I’m regretting even switching. The awkward corners are rounded and that makes this a lot larger than the basic litters, also the clamps don’t fit properly, I literally have to hit each side upwards to get them out of the cage clamps. This is just upsetting....
I don't think this is the greatest litter box in the world, not for the price of it. A determined rabbit will be able to remove the wire insert, as it doesn't seem to snap into place and is rather loose. It's not so awful that I won't use it, but definitely not one of my favourite litter boxes. The pan itself is rather shallow as well, and I could see it working best without litter in it, if frequently cleaned and the rabbit does not remove the wire insert. I wouldn't really recommend this product as being a good value at all.
That product used to be absolutely wonderful! My rabbit would not get his feet dirty and would not dig into the litter.
Problem is that to leave less carbon footprint (wich is a very good action!), they changed the design a little bit. The grid goes too closed to the litter in the litter pan. So we have to put less litter in the pan and change it more often.
What's more, my rabbit is now able to remove the grid because the white plastic tie that keeps the grid fixed is now thiner and less large than it used to be.
