After a week of bringing home my new bunny he would only go in this box half of the time. He wasn’t previously litter trained so this was a first for us both! I started noticing he would only put his front paws in it to eat his hay and was pooping and peeing just outside the box... I think it’s a bit small for my 3lb Holland lop bunny even though he fits in it really well! I really like the product and can hopefully use it in the future! It’s well made and fits well in the cage... I also love that it has plastic clips with screws to secure it to the side of cage. Please also be aware there isn’t a lot of room for a hanging hay rack with this box and my bunny was able to remove the wire grating a couple times... I would recommend this litter box for dawarf breed bunnies and ones that are already litter trained!
My daughters room is so much cleaner. Never a rabbit poop that comes out the litter box. Our rabbit adapted really easily. Its a little small. Our rabbit is 4pounds but i would consider a bigger one if you have a big rabbit
My rabbit loves this litter box! It is super easy to install and clean and my bunny started using it right away! My bunny is a dwarf rabbit around 2.5 pounds and he fits on it with a good amount of room. (I got the jumbo size and it came in the green colour)
The clip system to lock it to the cage wall is a bit clumsy, but for rats I find it unnecessary. The rats do push it away from the cage wall and hide behind it, but they don't tip it over. All litter is contained, it does not spread over the cage. I removed the wire mesh on the top because they seem to like nesting in the litter and the rest of their cage is fleece. The white ledge stays on and does help to prevent litter from being sprayed out of the litter.
It's really not a bad litter pan, my only beef is that the corner of the litter pan where my bunny religiously pees at is already starting to corrode (I guess from the acidity of his urine?) and it hasn't even been a week. Is this supposed to happen? Otherwise I do like the size and shape, it's perfect for my teenaged thrianta to use.
This works very well. My bunny likes it. I bought the jumbo size so as she grows bigger, she won't out grow it,. I have found her sleeping in it once! It keeps everything clean, and I clean it once a day!
