Shoes are way too wide towards the toe end of the shoes, and the laces can only get them so tight. The heel is made of hard plastic and digs into my heel/Achilles tendon and there isnt much padding to prevent this, my heels were bleeding after about a 2 mile hike. The shoes are a lot heavier than they look, the sole is extremely ridged and there isnt much cousion under the foot. I would send these back, but I am a merchant mariner and my ship sails tomorrow so I cant send them back and will have to deal with them. I will update after they break in. Over all I am very disappointed and wouldn't recommend them.
I have wore Keens Detroit for 8 years. I walk 10 miles a day. They'll last a little more then year before the heel is gone. That being said these Atlanta are terrible, they didn't feel right out of box. Felt like they were too big. I check the size and they were actually one size smaller then what I got before. I wanted to exchange them and found out the seller has 20% restocking fee and smaller shoe is 35 $ more then what I have. Funny because I thought I order through Prime....but I guess not, check return policy before buying going forward.
I must have gotten a bad pair, after three days wearing them I found out they were tearing the hell out of my left foot. The entire front bottom of my foot was one big blister (I have diabetes so I didn't notice the extent of the damage until I went to pull my sock off and the front was soaked from the weeping sore). The right side was a little damaged but nowhere near the left.
I wouldn't recommend these and am now wearing the original wore-out pair of keen shoes that seem to have been discontinued. I bought a pair of boots from WalMart which have been much easier on my feet.
My husband bought these to wear for work and they rub his toes and slip in the heal area. He said they don’t get tight enough. Sure wish he would have told me this sooner, because they would have been returned, now we are out 130.00 dollars.
I think these would be good shoes but they arent sized right. Example i wear a size 10 and i ordered a pair and when i got the new size 9 i still needed them to come down anorher size. This will be the second time having to return them or excahnge them. So maybe try a whole size smaller to begin with. This is with the wide version of the shoe ofcourse. Now my issue is its not giving me the option to exvhange them this time and i dont know why. I do want rhe shoes i just need a different size. Hopefully someone sees this
I have previously tried Keen shoes(the workboots - Milwaukee I think it was) and only made it 3 weeks before my feet couldn't take it anymore. Thinking it was an anomaly I was looking to replace my summer work sneakers (Merrel Moab) with something in a steel toe. I ordered these and after three weeks I will be throwing them away. They are not comfortable, provide no arch support, have a wide toe box but still rubs my pinky toe making it so I can't even wear them for a full work day, the lace system is awful, and on top of that they squeak. At the end of the day I'm extremely relieved to take them off. I did try putting regular laces in them and while better they're still really bad.
The heel of the shoe rubs and you can not get them tight enough to keep them from rubbing the back of your heel. They are also listed as 100% waterproof leather and mesh but the shoes are not waterproof and that was a big decision for buying these shoes. They're very uncomfortable and I am very disappointed I have wanted a pair of Keen shoes for a long time now and to get these shoes and them be that bad I will never buy keen shoes again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone I contacted keen about the issues I was having but they declined my warrenty this is also the ONLY pair of steel toe shoes I have and I have to wear steel toe at work so I can not send them back to amazon for a refund I am a long time prime member and a very disappointed one too
The laces broke on one of the shoes after maybe only 2 months. Keen said they'd send me a new pair of laces. After a couple weeks, I asked for a status update. Another week passed and I got a a customer service survey. Lol, ok!
Shoe had great reviews that’s why I purchased. They are the most uncomfortable work shoe I’ve ever had. Soles are almost non existent I replaced with new ones hoping it would help and it didn’t. Rubbed blisters on two toes. If they were fifty dollar shoes I’d understand. Will never buy this again way over priced.
