To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
When it arrived, (I've had it 3 months now) it was super sharp; cutting through everything including my finger. But after regular use, I notice it dulls quicker than any other knife I own. I've sharpened it quite a few times and will have to continue because when it is dull, it won't even pierce tomato skin.
I was half scared to get this paring knife & other sizes because reviews warned how sharp they were. I even ordered the cut resistant gloves for fear I'd end up in the ER! It just isn't that sharp - like my little $1 paring knife from the farm market. I'd also ordered 2 paring knives & the 6" chef knife & 7" filet knife & no cut gloves for my Son & DIL. They like the 6" knife, haven't heard about the filet. Maybe I got an off one. The price was good, just wasn't what I'd expected.
