This has made a big difference for upstairs. I have my bag in the basement below my kitchen. Before the mugs/cups/dishes etc would shake and rattle. My spouse would complain. With the spring it seems to have eliminated that issue. That being said, there is still vibrations and noise that comes through. No product is going to stop that entirely. I have an 80 lb bag that I kick and punch with all my might and it has lasted for months so far.
This is a large and sturdy spring, well suited for a 100lbs heavy bag. I recommend it without reservations. . . . . . As an aside though, there's a bit of bounce in it when the bag is hit hard and fast; perhaps I should have added a swivel in the hanging mechanism which should prevent some of that bounce by letting the bag rotate!
I have an 80 lb bag hung on a wall mounted bracket. I haven't given it a good go yet but I am not sure it improves my experience. So far it looks as if my bracket gets more up and down movement with this on and I am not sure if I like the way it feels to hit. I think this might be most valuable for folks who are hanging their bag from rafters/beams. None Pro tip: Don't whale on your heavybag, use it for conditioning mostly and avoid making it move much or swing. Have someone hold it for you if you are going to pound and you shouldn't do that often. Biy some boxing gloves whether you kick or not. Hayabusa makes AWESOME entry level $80 gloves that include the best handwraps I have ever owned
Used it to secure my 120 lb Aqua Training Bag. The bag is installed as pictured, braced across three joists in our basement. Before, uppercuts horribly shook the house and all other punches were unpleasantly noisy. Installed this spring. Now you can still hear the heaviest punches, but zero vibration, all of it is absorbed by the spring. At same time, the bag doesn’t bounce or really respond differently then before. The perfect spring for the bag.
Solid, reliable and cheap - does the job... Im not over loading at this stage but very much believe from what Im seeing so far that it would likely take pretty much any weight I throw at it... Perfectly adequate for most punch bag needs.. Recommend!
Really tough spring, takes the shock of any blows I throw at my bag. Once or twice I managed to knock my bag of this spring through the small opening when going full on but then that tells me that I should probably have a heavier bag. Also if this happens to you... I'm sure you could close up the loop with
