After reading reviews of this hand cream, I was very optimistic and eager to buy it. However, the cream did not live up to the expectations. It is easily absorbed initially on rubbing onto the hands, but after a night's sleep, while washing my hands next day morning, I found it to be very slippery and slimy on my hands. As if the cream had not yet seeped in and was only there superficially.
After use for one week, I realised it had not even moisturized my hands as one would expect out of Shea butter product.. AND A LOCCITAINE product!
Not worth the money at all... 2 stars for the fragrance, packaging. That's all there there to it.
Smells nice but I have found I need to reapply quite often to retain moisture. I have purchased drug store brands for a fraction of the price that have moisturized much better than this cream. Its not bad enough to send it back but also not good enough to repurchas.
I bought this product based on the rave reviews. I have eczema and work in the healthcare field, so my hands are very dry, cracked and flakey. I used steroids and heavy emollients at night but I was looking for a nice cream for daytime that would stand up to frequent handwashing. I was underwhelmed with this product. It is less greasy than expected based on the shea content, but it is greasy. I didn't appreciate any improvement in my skin softness or texture with this versus store brand Aveeno or Eucerin hand cream. I would say save your dollars if you have seriously dry and cracked skin. On the plus side, the container is very cute for your handbag (I bought the large and travel size).
I’ve been using this product for many years. Obviously, I like it. However, the most recent tube I received is hard as a brick. It takes a lot of force to get it out of the tube. The bit that comes out is so hard and dry it will roll off your hand if you are not careful. You must rub it vigorously to generate enough heat to get it to melt a bit before it goes in. The must be a very old tube or otherwise defective. For the price, I expect better.
This stuff is pretty overrated. There's a lot of hype around the product: 1 tube sold every 4 seconds, the touting of their client satisfaction surveys on the box, etc. Long and the short of it is that I put it on, my hands feel soft and dewy for about 20-30 minutes afterwards, and then my hands feel like I never put on anything at all. I asked my fiance what she thought and she said the exact same thing. Definitely not worth the price tag.
