For the same price of this tiny pit that has holes at the bottom so you can't even fit it, you can get a huge fold up child's ball pit, that is actually worth your money! Check it out, this was a very dissapointing buy. Won't be looking for ferret specific again!
My photos are both amazing purchases, the large one I paid $2 less and bought a pack of 200 balls for the same price as a 14 pack of Marshall balls. Look around before you purchase!
It works for what it is but without a lot more balls or the add-on tubing my ferrets get bored with it fast. When I added the 15 foot tubing and put the ends through the two openings of the pit my ferrets had more fun. I also made the mistake of buying the add-on balls and there still weren't enough to cover one ferret.
For less money you could buy a small pop up hamper, a large pack of generic kids play balls and have the same thing with more balls for the ferrets to play in.
This is not fun at all!!! There not enough balls in there for him to even try to play with. it should bring a bigger amount of balls and might be better for a family of 2 pets or more 1 pet will get bored and eventually just lay there like my ferret did. Looked like a great concept but it was like going to the ball pin at chuck e cheese and having 5 balls thrown in there and being told to have fun. how fun is that?
I bought this for my ferrets to play in. The balls are tiny, what comes with the set is barely enough to cover to bottom, and you'll be picking up balls forever when the come out of the holes in the side.
Buy the bag of 200 pit balls and a storage bin from any department store. Your ferrets will be able to climb over the side of the bin (which they'll do with this pit, rather than use the side holes) and the balls will stay in.
The "pit" is lightweight and very easy to flip over. One of ferrets flipped it over just by going through the hole in the side. The balls don't quite cover the bottom. My ferrets don't play in it. I keep putting them in the pit and they keep leaving. Right now it is on its side and the balls have spilled out onto the floor. I have two ferrets: an 18 week old girl and a 3 year old boy. A real disappointment.
Christmas gift for 2 small ferrets. Read reviews that it didn't come with enough balls so I purchased a bag of cheap ping pong balls and the tunnel. The ferrets love the ball pit and it's great entertainment. 4 stars so far but....less than one month in and the fabric bottom has ripped out in 2 corners. Now the balls do not stay in so it's garbage. Any idea if a replacement can be obtained?
I was very disappointed with this item....the picture must have at least 2 or 3 bags of balls in it and make sure you read the dimensions of the cube as once the ferret goes in there is no room to dig and go under balls etc. better to buy from child section or buy just the balls and find your own container to allow the room for them to bury themselves and bounce around. etc.
