Really disappointed with these bags. I bought them months ago as an alternative to the more expensive Medela bags as we were pumping and storing large quantities but I wish I hadn’t now. We used the to store milk in the freezer and every single bag has leaked as we’ve defrosted them. Such a waste of precious milk. It makes me want to cry. We have frozen litres and litres of milk and the Medela bags have been perfect but not one of these has survived freezing. I wonder how many of the better reviews are written before people have frozen and then defrosted the milk. I’d have given a high score if I’d reviewed after storing the milk as they seem great and hold lots of milk but now we’re trying to use the milk it’s a different story! I don’t often write reviews but I wanted to make sure other people don’t have that awful feeling you get when you waste precious breast milk.
DO NOT BUY Froze milk to build up supply for babysitters. When I came to defrost, every single bag has leaked. This is weeks of hard work expressing gone to waste. It means no babysitting til I've restocked. Really angry and upset, as if breastfeeding isnt hard enough. I see reading comments now that others have also had this problem. Just don't buy.
I was exclusively express feeding my baby so bought some separate bottles to store in the fridge and then bought these as extras when the bottles ran out and to use in the freezer. The double seal is great, I read a review about it being tricky to open but I don’t really think it’s too hard it’s just the fact that its double seal. Was looking for a bigger size bag than normal and these are perfect for that. I haven’t had any issues with freezing and defrosting, i fill them up to the 350ml mark and freeze then when wanting to use I pop in the fridge standing up in a little container and defrost for 24 hours or so and seems fine. Would buy again.
Well these are Fab Rum Runners.... Ok not what they were designed for but Very good, sturdy and we had no leakage issues! I found that they worked best not filled to capacity say 300mls once filled I emptied out the air and sealed first part. Then dried between first seal and second and did this one up too. Easy to open and reseal if needed (Hey I am talking about Rum here!)
Good quality bags. Stronger than other bags I have bought in the past. I had to find the way and the right strength to open them without breaking them every time. I was to strong and rough and in a couple of occasions I have broken them.
They store a good amount of milk, more than I produce in a single time.
You can also write on them to remember what time you pumped your milk, what day and how much.
Milk can be stored in the fridge in these bags for 4/5 days.
They're okay, I mean they're a bag to store some breast milk in. Saying that the seals are extremely tight and it's so easy to open them and split them the whole way down the sides. I hand expressed into them as they don't attach to bottles and it was so tedious. They're not worth the price and I only use them if the bottles are in sterilising and I need to express quickly. I haven't tried freezing as I can see why they would split l, I just don't trust them.
I don't like these. Compared to 2 other brands, this was weakest in quality and feel. The plastic is softer and also when you rip the top part to open a new bag, it doesn't separate or rip at the cut line as easily as the other two. It kind of tears towards the end, so you might have plastic pieces left, Only good thing is price point and labels being Comparable to 2 other major brands.
Not sure why this asks about absorbency so have that bit 1 star but otherwise these do the job. They’re quite big and I’ve always been told only to freeze 3-4 oz to avoid waste so I feel a fair bit is wasted plastic unfortunately
