I bought this shampoo and it arrived quickly and the bottle was vacuum packed nicely. I would describe the scent as "clinical"....it's not pleasant at all. Despite the offputting smell, I used the shampoo on Monday morning. I washed once and didn't get much lather, so I used a little more and washed again, then followed up with my usual conditioner. Once my hair dried, it felt very dried out, stripped, and stiff after using this shampoo, even though I had used my normal conditioner which always makes my hair very soft and silky. Not this time....it wasn't enough to combat the dryness this shampoo caused. It totally stripped my hair. (For reference, I am a Caucasian female with long, color treated brown, 3a/3b curly hair and I don't use heat on my hair...I even air dry it). To reiterate, I used this shampoo on Monday. Now this is where the story gets scary. I woke up today (3 days after using this shampoo) and discovered a BALD SPOT about the size of a dime located in the very center of my hair about 1cm back from my hairline. It is VERY NOTICABLE! I have never in my life had a bald spot. My hair is not thinning, and no baldness runs in my family either male or female. So imagine my shock when my normally thick hair has a HOLE in it. The skin on my scalp is not inflamed or injured in any way, nor was my hair pulled out by me or anyone else....my hair is simply GONE. I am not blaming my bald spot on this shampoo, but it is the ONLY thing I have done differently with my haircare routine for about a year. It could just be a coincidence, but it is a very scary coincidence. I have a Dr Appointment next week to rule out any medical issues, and if I discover it is indeed a medical issue, I will alter this review, because I do not want to be unfair to this product. However, I felt I had to share this story based on the chance that this shampoo might be the cause. I just want to save others from the mental pain I'm experiencing right now as I walk around with a large bald spot on the front of my head.
I have no idea what retailer this is but it’s not the actual Moroccan Oil brand. I am 80% confident this bottle has been filled with a Neutrogena or off brand face wash. It is the SAME EXACT color and smell as the neutrogena Oil free acne face wash. It does not leave your hair feeling clean, clarified or anything. I even tried washing it a second time and just Noooo no no. Do not buy, go to sephora or buy it from your salon because this is not legit.
The product arrived without a seal on it and it leaked all over ,at least a quarter of the bottle is missing now and it was all over my other product which happened to be some natural supplement that are fool of shampoo as well , disappointed to say the least .there should have been a seal on the bottle .
I take good care of my hair and have recently changed to accommodate my natural hair and got this as it said no sulfate. It has a different named sulfate and my hair has only felt that stiff and dry when i bleached it 8 years ago.
Just received this product in the mail and I wish I had read the reviews. The product was not sealed (just a flimsy plastic over it) and atleast 1/4 leaked out. I'm worried its a bootleg and not sure if ill even use it for fear of frying my hair. Waste of money!
Product is fine - but amazon shipped it such that it spilled out of the container... it was a gooey mess and a waste of money. I would return it but it’s not worth the trouble. I won’t buy this product from amazon again, but I’ll buy the product again
So I havnt tried the product yet I'll have an update when I do. But as far as packaging goes yea could be better. While mine was sealed like most of what seeing with other happened with mine. The cap was not twisted enough and yea its coated with oil so if you wanna get this product heads up that's what you might get.
