Really the go-to for beard products and with good reason. I’ve purchased a lot of beard products over the years but always revert back to Honest Amish. The scent is aniseed-like, some people may not appreciate it but personally, I like it. The texture is light and almost creamy, melts easily in the hands and doesn’t leave a greasy look. Gives good hold, nice smell and easy to use. Try as many beard products as you like but always keep Honest Amish in your arsenal.
I do not understand the rave reviews this product has. It is greasy to use and leaves a fatty residue on my fingertips, the smell is not pleasant and is a little like absinthe. It has no hold on my bear hairs at all. Fairly pointless for most of what it is intended to do!
It is nourishing to beard hair and skin though and feels like a very infrequent treatment than semi-regular beard balm. Completely overpriced for the tiny tin full received though so I will not buy this again.
Underwhelmed with this product after so many geart reviews.
It may work well for you but did not for my beard type. (Thick and curley). It did however keep my beard soft and smelling nice but the hold was not good enought for me. after an hour or two I had strays and my beard looked untidy. I have given this product a few weeks use to come to my conclusion before passing judgement as i was really hoping this brand would be for me.
I would like to maybe try a stronger hold or wax from these guys but after paying £20 I wouldnt want to risk the investment. I have now started making my own balms and found something that works for me.
Smells nice and can tell it's got good ingredients. The sent reminds me of a light aniceedy or black jack smell but not over powering.
This balm feels fairly greasy in the hand but definitely nourishes my beard. I'm not overly keen on the fragrance though. I think someone compared it to a wax-covered coat which is actually a spot-on description: not unpleasant but I wouldn't wear it on a night out.
Great product! On an expensive side but you pay for top quality. I unsuccessfully used about 10 different brands in a quest to get rid of beard dandruff. Honest Amish did what other products failed to do in 3 days! I was absolutely amazed how well it worked. Now I use wax in combination with their oil and I love it. For me it was a saviour. I hope it will work for you as good as well.
