Rigid enough to float two adults. I've kept it inflated for over a month & not any noticeable air leakage so far. Material looks durable, dragging over beach sand does leave some scratches to the surface painting but the fabric seemed fine. Seats are attached to bottom of boat with loop n hook that's not as secure & may come loose easily especially for the back seat, however the reinforcement belt is a big plus as it effectively holds the seat in position. The valves for the seats are cheap ones that can go off too easily. The "drainage valve" located at rear of the boat is also toy-like and can't remain its opening position, that makes it awkward trying to expel the water through. Other than that it's a very nice kayak to have.
An inflatable Kayak sounds like a horrible idea and before I owned this I would have agreed with you. But I fully recommend this purchase as the quality is great (except for the oars, get good ones) and it feels very sturdy. I've done trips with one person and with two. It gets a little cramped with two people but one person is perfect, and you honestly could use this as a bed while camping. Very comfortable. If you're on the fence, just get it. It's cheaper than a normal kayak and way more portable.
I read the reviews before I hit the buy button and knew that indeed, this would be a glorified raft and it is, but that is not a negative. It's easy to prepare for the water, it's easy to deflate and it's easy to transport to anywhere which for me, a small woman, was a key feature. I have been on the glassy estuaries near where I live and me and my passengers have thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
