My dog had surgery and i felt bad that he had to sleep in a plastic cone so looked into making a soft cone for him. Im a beginner sewer, this stuff was a dream to work with. I doubled up the foam to make it more comfy for him, I couldn't use poppers as it was too thick (because I doubled it up, if I didn't it wud of been fine) but sewed velcro to the fabric. I was surprised that it sewed through 2 foam layers, 2 fabric layers as well as the velcro without a walking foot. He is much more comfortable and can sleep better now. I will debut again, might try the adhesive
Previously I have used only fusible Bosal foam stabiliser but thought I would give this a try. I was concerned that as it isn't fusible, it would not sit well when making bags. I used a spray adhesive initially to hold in place before sewing but found this was not really necessary as it stayed in place whilst sewing. A nice thick padding and will always buy. I wish it was a little cheaper as I seem to get get through it quite quickly but over all I am very happy with it and will continue to purchase in the future.
I used this to make a cover for my sewing machine and it has just the right firmness without being heavy. My sewing machine struggled where several layers overlapped at corners and made me decide not to top stitch.
This is brilliant. So easy to use. I made a cosmetic bag and because it is foam it gives a nice springy feel which i was then able to quilt which gave a really professional look. Would definitely recommend.
I've not used this foam stabilizer yet. I'm looking forward to using it when making bags. As I'm going to be quilting my fabric with it, it'll work out more economical than the fusible foam stabilizer.
