Far left is the Nite Ize Micro Lock for a size proportion see photo. This carabiner replaces the Nite Ize S-Biner Size 2 carabiner 2nd from right. My issue with the normal Nite Ize S-Biner was the gate/latch would open from time to time and my keys would come lose. The Nite Ize Micro Lock addresses that failure very cleverly and simply by way of a simple plastic lock which you twist to secure the two latches. Works for what I need it for
I ordered these on April 1st and they arrived today, April 8th, sooner than expected so A+ for fast shipping. I had been looking for something similar for months until I finally found these and they are the perfect size to lock my purse and backpacks since I tend to get a bit paranoid when walking around or traveling. Now I can finally have the sense of security that I've wanted and keep my stuff safe from possible pickpockets when on the go. These seem to be very sturdy and I will definitely order some more in the future. Highly recommend.
Absolutely love this product. I use it on bags when out and on tent with tent peg through for camping. My last set - one stolen by a friend going on world travels, another by someone about to walk the camino for the tent.
I use it for festials mainly, I dont have nails and can still use it, Not flimsy and over the four years i used the last ones the plastic lock section never snapped. I used it all round europe and it gave me peace of mind. Friends get frustrated at festivals though as they cant get into my bag (usually to try get beer tokens) so it has saved me a lot of money too as they give up.
A handy little clip for some one who needs secure keys that have to be transferred a lot. I have a bunch of keys for work that I frequently transfer from various clothing: overalls, jackets, winter jackets. I also lend my keys to people often. This handy little clip system makes it very easy without worrying about the inherent issues of a standard karabiner clip (unclipping them selves or catching and not shutting correctly). It also removes the annoyance of constantly removing from a key ring and the fatigue this can cause to the loop. I use 4 of these for various things: keys, torch, pass card and multi tool. Strong and corrosion resistant. I could t believe how small yet strong they were, no bigger than 2 x 1p pieces. I also purchased some spares for car keys. Really recommend these handy key rings
I use these to keep keys clipped into my everyday carry bag so that I don't lose them and they don't end up loose and having to be fished for at the bottom of my bag. You can feel when the lock "clicks" into place, and it's reliable.
I bought this pack of two little Nite Ize carabiners in Feb.2019 and have never had either accidentally unlock itself. The lock is a little fiddly, especially if your finger mobility is impaired by cold or wet, but you get used to it. The locks are still as "tight" as when I bought them.
This lockable carabiner is an anchoring device, not a security device, though it should stop an opportunist casual thief. A thief can't easily nick the whole bag as my Pacsafe bag [Amazon ref ASIN B017BPMS3I] has various security features including a way to attach it to a stationary object. (If you don't have a Pacsafe bag or similar security kind of bag may I suggest a carabiner with a number-combo lock for things like your car keys.)
I take a lot of tripod snaps and a camera sling just gets in the way. This device ideally fits the eyelet support at the sling, that is to say the S arm fits into the eyelet, thereby making removal and attachment of the neck sling a piece of pi..... cake. And the "locking" gizmo is not difficult to operate by finger. My camera weighs + or - 2kg with a walk-about zoom lens, and as these QR yokes will each hold 1.5kg (or 3lbs in old money), two of them will have pas de problem with the Nikon. Highly recommended.
Smaller than you think. I know you think it's small, you're looking at it because it's small, but it's smaller than that. Superbly engineered and reassuringly well made, even the securing plastic lock feels great, so you certainly don't sacrifice quality to get the size down.
You'll comfortably fit a car key or a couple of split rings on either side, but any more and if becomes tricky to open, so consider this a keyring rather than anything else.
