I've used L'Occitane shea butter hand cream for several years and decided to try an alternative. I'm disappointed the Almond is a thinner consistency than the shea butter, and I don't like the fragrance. The pro is it is not greasy, and therefore the 2 stars. I'm ordering a L'Occitane shea butter hand cream today.
I guess I wasn't paying attention. This is a ONE OUNCE tube. That's really small for the price. I also was hoping for something that smelled like almonds. This definitely smells like flowers. As a lotion it seems okay but it's obscenely overpriced. For an "okay" lotion I can grab a vat of just about anything else at any drugstore and pay less than this cost.
While the scent it nice - and I did not find it over powering - I also did not find that it did anything for my skin. It was a great disappointment - espeically for the price. Will keep searching for something that will work on my hands.
The texture of this hand cream is significantly thinner than the Shea Butter version. I like the fact that it is easier to blend; however, the trade off is that it is less moisturizing. The reason why I am only giving it two stars is because I disliked the smell (very floral, slightly nutty) and I found that my hands were still quite dry even after using it. I would not recommend nor repurchase.
Don't know why this luxury name is so famous, the products aren't very good. This is not very emollient, not long-lasting, tacky on the hand, and doesn't smell nice. At least the tube is a good size for the purse!
