Used this Switchcraft to replace the output jack in my Epiphone SG 400. Just needed a little sanding around the hole to ensure the new Jack fitted without any pressure as these are a tiny bit bigger than the original Jack. Works perfectly and holds the plug in very, very securely. I always change out the original Jacks to Switchcraft. Simple and effective mod which is well worth the small investment. Quick shipping and a great seller. I will use these Guys again. Thank you
In the age of where all the manufacturers trying to save cost, it still shocks me of how much trouble it may can you when you try to save a buck on the jack.. My recent $700 dollar new guitar has the jack signal cuts out regularly when you touch the cable, after some research I purchased this and replaced the old one, immediately i noticed this has a much sturdier construction and the hold is much tighter. It solves the problem. Highly recommended.
I picked up a cheap wiring harness for a used guitar that was dropped in my lap one day. The harness actually works great, but the jack it has won't tighten to the plate. The jam nut just jumps threads.
This Switchcraft jack has been my go to for awhile, and it hasn't disappointed. It took seconds to solder and secure with its jam nut. It is certainly worth the extra couple of bucks to get a quality jack.
