To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Why did I buy this disc when I can't play the game from it? When you try to install, you are commanded to sign up with Steam, an internet gaming company, and you pay them to play your game! To add insult to injury, Steam upgrades itself EVERY time you turn on your PC and you have to wait...and wait until it's icon pops up, before you can even stop the upgrade. My PC is new and plenty powerful, but this Steam had to go! I uninstalled and put my new, un-played Skyrim back into it's box. Too late to return it cause took a month, on and off, to find out I couldn't properly install the Steam. Yeah, I got "steamed" at the cleaners.
This disk does nothing! You need to have a brand new copy, otherwise if you buy this used you will slip the DVD into your disk reader, then it will pop up a steam tab asking for your redemption code, it won't just install from the disk! Unfortunately I misunderstood and made a huge mistake buying this. Please do not be mislead like I was. I do not want anyone else to fall into this predicament. If you buy this used the seller will have already used the steam activation key leaving you with no game and wasted money. All you're gonna get is a case and some papers (If that even.) *BUY IT NEW OR GO BUY IT FROM STEAM. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE.* Thank you.
This isn't a review but I didn't know how else to reach someone. I sent the box back because the game key wouldn't work and you gave me a refund. I just opened my computer and the DVD was still in my computer. How can I send this back so you will have the DVD that belongs in the box.
The DVD did not locate the setup.exe file when I inserted it. I located setup.exe, clicked on it, and this started a Steam client installation that failed. At that juncture I downloaded and installed the Steam client myself and reinserted the DVD. The Steam client throws up a request for a Product key. There is no Product key in any of the package materials or on the DVD itself?!? At that point I decided to return the product for a refund.
