Makes hair feel heavy and doesn’t really do anything to my hair. After using this conditioner along with the shampoo and hair mask, I have realised local shampoo does a better job. Switched to Sunsilk.
the odor of this product is just not what it should be. I wonder how long this either sat on their shelf or whether it is the right product at all. No citrusy fragrance. I am not going to be using it, which is a shame. I waited a long time to splurge on this for myself, and what I got is awful. I have other smaller tester samples (from hotels) of the exact product and they smell nothing alike.
I purchased both the Aromacholgie volume shampoo and repairing conditioner because I wanted to try another pro/spa grade product without silicone based ingredients... I was bored by my usual Brocato and all the other major salon brands now have 'cones in them (Redken, Matrix, CHI, even Aveda).
I will stick with my Brocato in future.
The Aromacholgie conditioner smells great and feels fine (thick and emollient) testing it on your fingers only, but is pretty much useless used on actual hair.
Though color treated my hair is in excellent condition and will become oily if I skip shampooing a single day.
In conjunction with the Aromachologie volume shampoo it is terrible. My hair becomes so dry that it flies all over, is full of knots (actually MATTS by morning) and ends break off. Even with a full ounce of conditioner on my hair I couldn't run my fingers thru it with out snagging - WHILE it was applied. None of these issues have happened before even with cheap hotel shampoo/conditioners - even when my hair was bleached platinum.
I also tried it with my Splassh shampoo, again it does pretty much nothing - only very little noticeable smoothing compared to NO conditioner at all.
Even on my husband's 'virgin' untreated hair it's not great.
I would not buy this unless you have never treated your hair, do not blow dry it and live some place super humid. Even then it seems a big waste of money, at $2.40 an ounce it's 30 - 60% higher than other pro grade conditioners. Seriously a $1 bottle of Suave conditioner works better.
Terrible!!!I would give no star at all if I can. This is not the orignal L'Occitane that I have been using for over 3 years. I have bought all the previous ones overseas and this was the only product i bought in US The bottle looks different, the consistency is different and the final quality of the product is very different and very bad. Would not recomend buying it.
I have recently bought quite a lot of L'Occitane products and have been very impressed - until this shampoo and conditioner! The smell is dreadful, and very strong.Smells like cheap dish-washing soap to me. It hasnt left my hair feeling any different than it normally does and I found it tangled up my hair pretty bad whilst i was trying to comb conditioner through. I wont be using it again, not even just to finish the products off. It really is that bad.
