The one that I got was damaged and it was part of a gift. I contacted Amazon about it and they told me to keep it and they would send out another one to replace it and it arrived promptly. I have made 1 recipe from it which I was not thrilled but that is only 1 among many so that is not an issue. I got it for my daughter for her anniversary because she loves many types of cuisines and this has recipes from so many different cultures and she was excited when she got it. Now the downsides. The pictures are weirdly colored so you don't get a real picture of the dish but that isn't a big deal to me. The one thing that bothers me is that, in humidity the covers curl quite a bit making the cover look open. I have never had that happen to a book before. Our book cases are being painted but when they are done I am hoping that being between other books will flatten it out.
I need to be on low carb diet for a health reason, and I was getting sick with eating chicken breast and salmon grilled with McCormick seasoning. I ran into this book while browing some books on Amazon, checked out a copy from library and tried some of the recipes. OMG, what a difference a simple marinade can make!! My chicken breast is moist and full of flavor. I was very amazed!!! Please do not waste any of your time and get this book.
Not only I bought my own copy, I also ordered all of other books of this author.
This book has a vast amount of recipes for all kinds of stuff but is organized by country of origin, not what the marinade would be best used for. If that works for you then go for it, it has good detail and the instructions are easy. It's just difficult to figure out what to use when it doesn't have suggestions for what marinade is best on X meat.
