There isn't a quality issue here, but one of simply not liking the product. It's one of taste. But, if you're looking for a full, round, mellow tone, these aren't what you want. They're too hard. They produce a loud percussive noise - no worse than any other thick pick, but no better, as I'd been hoping, and a nylon pick gives you more of a mellow sound, with less treble. I just don't see the point to these. Any plastic pick will serve you just as well, and any nylon pick better, if you're after what I was.
The texture is strange and I can hear it scratch against the strings when I’m strumming. I found some rubber ones that are better but not great cuz those fall apart like an eraser .. just can’t win lol
The product was fine, and exactly as described. Perhaps a little to thick. I just don't care for the sound it produces on my tenor ukelele. I purchased these to try on a whim to try and strum more consistently, but it produces an aggressive percussive sound.
...why anyone would use these: they're really thick (making them very awkward: best used for strumming only, not for picking), and they make a scratchy sound (like you'd get by dragging a Brillo pad across a set of strings; these are, for all intents and purposes, tiny Brillo pads made of stiff felt). Product is well manufactured. On that score, I suppose it merits more stars. But it is (in my view) a pretty awful product. If you know its limitations going in, and you know what you're getting, have at. If you, like I was, are considering ordering it just to experiment with, you may wish to reconsider...
Bleh...cheaply made and sound horrible on the strings. They aren't genuine felt, so they create a super tinny sounding contact. They are also so poorly made they are basically falling apart after only a few uses. Fun colors, but that's about all they have going for them. Save your money!
