I’m very disappointed. I love saltwater sandals, and have been buying them every year, at least 2 pairs. First time my daughter walked in water with the sandals and they are ruined. I expect a refund or a replacement
I ordered one too many of these sandals ( and the other model by the same company ) so wanted to share useful sizing and width info. My daughter is 9 and wears generally 3.5 ( both in Puma, Plae and pediped). She has very narrow feet. These shoes her sizing is 2. Both 3 and 4 were way way too big. Width is perfect. The other style ( more popular with all leather insoles) were too wide.
Been buying Saltwater Sandles by Hoy for two generations now. Some have been worn for several summer seasons, with no problems. These, however, came out of the box with the leather stipping and cracking in places. I don't think they are actually made by the company. The quality is like nothing I have experienced with purchasing through them. I think these might be counterfit. Do NOT buy Hoy/Salt Water Sandles from this company. Ill add a photo, if I can figure out how to do it. The poor quality is pretty impressive. If NOTHING else, they certainly were not checked before shipping.
These sandals are perfect for my daughter because she has narrow feet - she's a skinny mini! So for that reason, they are just what I was looking for. It is extremely hard to find sandals that fit properly on a person with narrow feet. She normally wears a 3, which is what I bought so these are true to size.
She put these sandals on right out of the box and we had no issues with tightness or anything. I'm so glad I found these sandals! They also look great on her feet!
My daughter loves these sandals. They're comfortable and hold up really well even being worn daily by a daughter who is pretty rough on shoes. We have bought these sandals every summer for the past 3 or 4 years because they're so versatile. She can wear them in water, playing in the yard, or with dressier outfits. I would recommend these shoes.
I’ve been buying this exact shoe for my daughter for the past 3 years. We have them from size 5-10. They are the only sandals that work on her narrow feet. They are sturdy, comfortable and have held up great! I justified spending the money on them thinking my next daughter would wear them. Unfortunately, her feet are too wide to fit in them comfortably. I’d still recommend them if your kid has narrow to normal feet. They are so cute. The red goes with everything.
Who doesn't love a shoe you can wear to the beach and still looks appropriate for summer church? I wore these as a kid and am happy to dress my children in them. I would advise, if your children have medium to wide feet, the style with an adjustable buckle by the toes and the ankle would be better. I have to carefully coax my son's feet through the nonadjustable toe bed portion.
2 spring/summers in a row now, the only shoe my daughter will ask for/wear are her Salt Water sandals. It makes it easy on me. These shoes last all summer with continuous wear, from playing at the park to riding bikes, and even church. They may even have some life left in them for little sister next summer. They are a great value.
