I have absolutely no clue how this shampoo has as many stars as it does!!! IT IS FAKE! Every single product Oribe has smells the same & this one clearly does not smell like an AUTHENTIC ORIBE PRODUCT! I used it 2 to 3 times thinking it was just in my head that the smell was off but no... this garbage in a bottle has completely dried out and damaged my blonde hair. I am so sad that some cruel person out there is making money off of this :( thankfully Amazon Customer Service told me to just send it in along with the phony Oribe Conditioner to get my money back (which I will then apply to the REAL product.)
LESSON LEARNED- never buy Hair products off of Amazon!
When my friend came to visit me beginning of 2019, she brought a bottle of ORIBE Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo. She shared her shampoo with me during our vacation. I find it a good product - My hair was smooth, shinning, and my color stayed glossy. She left me the bottle before she left, and I finished the bottle. I have been googled this product in the U.S. and I bought a bottle at Amazon, because I trust Amazon. However, I am not sure if the bottle I receive from Amazon is the genuine bottle. After I use it, the effect is horrible. My hair tangled, no more shines and hard to manage. I gave it a try for another 2 weeks, but no good result. The packing - the bottle came in bubbled-envelope. the bottle packing - it came without a film covering the packing, and there is no seal on the opening of the bottle. Again, I am not trying to fight if this is the genuine product from its packing because I didn't know how it looked when my friend gave me hers. but, the effect on my hair really makes me think that the bottle I got from Amazon is not the genuine products, like what were mentioned in other reviews.
I had high hopes for this shampoo/conditioner for my super fine, unmanageable hair. For the first day or two it seemed to make my fine hair feel a bit thicker, as though each strand were heftier--what every fine-haired person dreams of. But, thereafter, my hair started feeling slicker and slicker and became flatter and flatter and impossible to style. It was so smooth and slick that my ponytail elastic kept sliding off and my baseball cap slid off off my head several times, which never happened before! My hair had never looked so bad, fly-away, flat and slippery--totally unmanageable! I had no choice but to return it. It may work great for coarse hair, or even medium texture, but for extremely fine hair, it is simply is too much. Oribe is a good brand, and their product fragrances are wonderful (if only all brands smelled so good!), but they need to work on a good line for fine hair.
1.0 out of 5 starsThe packaging is very nice, the bottle is fancy but someone like me ...

This shampoo was a huge miss for me.
The packaging is very nice, the bottle is fancy but someone like me who had long hair would probably use this entire bottle in 2 or 3 weeks so the price is way too high.
I have very long, thin hair and this being labeled as "repairing and restoring" shampoo I thought I should give it a try. The consistency is very thick. I used a lot and it still didn't feel like enough for my entire head of hair. It does not lather much. When I rinsed it off it made my hair feel "squeaky clean". My hair did not feel healthy, And definitely not repaired or restored like the bottle said.
While drying and brushing my hair after my shower I lost 20+ hairs which is NOT normal for me. I'm very disappointed with this product. It does the opposite of what it claims.
