Well made, a quality product. I cannot fault the manufacturing in any way... at that point I'd give it the net a 5* review. But there's something coated on the net, or even the materials that make it that (to me***) make it smell very "chemically". I really can't put a finger on it but for me it's not good. Even hanging it in a shed has not cleared the smell. It's very strange as I also purchased prior to this a similar net with an even more pungent smell! https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XFHNQWC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
*** Smell is a very personal and objective point so please take that into account. As a manufactured product it's exceptional for the price and I would happily give it 5 stars.
I used the hooks that were already present in my 2005 Toyota Celica. Fits well.
Don't put stuff in the boot every day, but when I do, the stuff always always always goes under this netting. When I arrive and open the boot, everything is exactly how I left it. If you're carrying food and stuff like that, it's perfect. Shopping, car parts, tools, bits of random stuff, my skateboard, rubbish, recycling. It's so good. I had to twist each corner around a couple of times to increase the overall tension, but I think that's just my car.
Nothing negative to report. The plastic things haven't broken like someone said in another review. Although even if they do, you can follow what that other buyer/reviewer did and replace the plastic hooks with metal ones.
The net is well made , good size (perfect for the Honda Civic Tourer) and adjust easily. The clips however are poor one failed first time out. I used a spare clip I had on hand to make a temporary fix, fully intending to send the net back after the trip, but the fix worked so well I plan to stick with it and replace the other three corners, with similar clips. I have been corresponding with the vendor who has stated they will try yo improve the quality of the product I have revised my star rating to four stars.
Used every weekend for holding the shopping down in the boot, and work fine. The clips are plastic, which is good for preventing scratches, but I have had one of the 'retaining/closing flaps' snap off. This hasn't affected the actual hook concerned, so still works fine under tension. The rest of the net seems suitably sturdy for what I'm using it for. Can't complain for the price.
Easy to install and use, however would have gotten 5 stars if 3 of the clips hadn't broken even under a slight load. One clip, OK that could happen, But 3 clips hmmmm... The elastic part goes through the thin plastic clip section which puts force onto the clip under even the slightest load, and this snapped the clip. I replaced the clip with a sturdier version and then another clip broke. Again replaced, and then another,,, So all in all, nice product, but the clips could be better and fastened better to the net. Don't put it under any load.
All is well in the world of this product, bare one tiny thing. As one would expect the parts are all in working order and neatly clip to my car boot clips. However, as you'd expect for the price of this item, the clips are plastic and so they have already broken the inner clippy bit. No matter though as I'm not expecting to be drifting round corners any time soon.
O and it's also quite useful as a festival trolley catch all netting topper type thing. I'd buy again, if I lose or leave it in a field anytime soon.
It doesn't really stop things moving about. The netting seems too big for the elastic so when installed the elastic running along the floor is tight (making it difficult to get anything under the netting) but the netting is loose. So things just slide around under the netting making it all pretty pointless.
The plastic buckles are not strong enough and when trying to get something under the tight elastic one has broken off. So this thing goes in the bin.
I use this in the back a Dacia duster. It's really handy as the duster boot is fairly large and when you have only a couple of bags of shopping they can roll around in the back without the net. With the use of a cargo net like this you can be reduce breakages and mess in your car.
