Not a lot of material to mould over the pre-molars and feels like just an expensive piece of plastic with a lot of marketing. Definitely takes a few tries to mould it snugly so just keep redoing it until it fits well. It is though much more comfortable and breathable than other brands. I used it for jiu jitsu and light boxing sparring. Definitely would get a much thicker one for heavy sparring.
I play rugby and it's important to be able to talk when wearing a mouth guard. I like this mouth guard because it is low-profile, so you can open/close your mouth and speak clearly. It also stays in place and it only comes off if I consciously take it off. Other mouth guards just fall out if you don't make a concerted effort to suction it to your top teeth. I found myself attempting to do that out of habit, and as it turns out, this mouth guard fits better than any other I've had. The only down side is that the holes of the mouth guard are a little rough once they are formed.
This is a very thin mouth guard. It takes a few tries to get it fit right due to coming flat. My daughter likes it better than the bulkier ones. She has a small mouth for her age. It would have been nice to have it shaped a little, since it is hard to fit is all at one time with it being flat. Very pleased with this mouth guard.
First night I wore it my mouth was sore the next morning, not sure what that was about. It's a very different fit compared to the much looser fitting mouthguard I'm accustomed to using. I definitely recommend this one for active use, but not so much as a sleep guard. I think I need more cushion.
Far much superior to the everyday mouth guard you find in stores. You can breath better, drink water and talk with it in your mouth. Biggest benefit is breathing better with the sisu. The other mouth guards take up too much room in your mouth hindering your breathing.
I was about to leave a negative review, as I found it extremely difficult to get the sisu to mold fully and comfortably to my teeth. After about 10 failed attempts at achieving a proper fit (and lots of cursing), I scrolled through reviews that recommended doing an initial fitting, then resubmerging ONLY the wrinkled/ill fitted parts before remolding them. Now it fits and feels fine.
Great for lacrosse. I play defense in lacrosse, so having a mouth guard that I can talk while I'm wearing it is crucial. The only negative I have is that is a little more difficult to get the right fit when first molding then other mouth guards. May need to get another one that I can get a better fit and correct placement on my teeth.
