When I started this book, I got very confused as it mentioned characters that I hadn't met before. I soon realised that I'd missed the novella 'Tempt Me Eternally' - though advertised as book 4.5, it is chronologically book 3.5 and should therefore be read before 'Seduce the Darkness' so as to avoid confusion and spoilers. While Devyn can be a bit cocky and annoying, Bride soon tames him (for the better). His bromance with Dallas may be my favourite thing about the whole series, however.
Can we have Dallas' story now please?
Another fun addition to the Alien Huntress series that returns to more familiar supernatural roots, with the introduction of the vampires.
I got hooked on the Alien Huntress series after reading the Lords of the Underworld and loving Showalter's style. She created this future world realistically without too much emphasis on sci-fi. The romance takes precedence, which is great for me! Devyn is a character that got introduced in a previous book and left me wanting to hear his story. I loved the way he changes throughout the book from a heartless womaniser into a man in love. Bride is a likeable character too, a vampire who thinks she is the only one. Nice, page turning action, hot romance scenes and great futuristic settings. Loved it.
Gena's done it again! seduce the darkness is great i would marry Devyn in a heart beat, For those new to Gena my advice is read them all, you will like all the characters but there will also be one you love.
