Comfortable for a few hours, is very supportive. I find my leg feels uncomfortable after a day of wearing the brace, and have to take it off. Material soft, secure fixings, never slips. To make it 5 star I think it needs more padding on the side supports as it leaves marks on my knee. If I did it up less tight it would move.
I have been wearing this brace when outside, for about a week now, due to bursitis in a knee. I am actually surprised at the support it gives me. While I have been taking it easy on the knee, I am at a point where I felt I could start to do some things again, like a bit of yard work. Today I moved the lawn and the brace was so supportive I felt absolutely no knee pain while mowing. Can't say enough about this brace.
I'm getting old (69 at present) and for the last few years I've been looking for a good knee brace when I need it from time to time. (no surgeries or other serious stuff like that. Just occasional discomfort or something "going out" on me.) I've tried numerous sleeves and similar devices and they haven't worked well for me. I was a baseball catcher, and I have thicker legs (calves and thighs) for the experience. I've done a LOT of squats in my time. My problem was that none of the sleeves were big enough, and if I could pull them on, it was a large hassle. This wrap around brace has solved my problem. I can put it on, and because of the two wrap around straps, I can get a good compression both top and bottom, and it holds everything in place better than I've ever experienced. It is also very comfortable. On the occasions when I experience my knee problems, I where this for a day or two and things back to normal. I expect to stay with this for a long time. Also, thank you Winzone for explaining to me what the "Black Belt With Pocket" is for. It had me stymied.
Recently, I was diagnosed with severe bone-on-bone osteoarthritis on both knees. And I live in a 3-level townhome with 4 sets of stairs. My husband wanted to take me out to dinner to celebrate my 56th birthday but honestly wasn't sure how I would make it going up/down stairs plus moving around out in public. I had been using other braces but was like wearing a ordinary sock - warm, but not much support. In comparison, these braces are extra-strength, high-quality, and adjustable for a secure fit. It's not that noticeable under blue-jeans. This gave me the confidence to try them and see if it would make a difference. And it did! I can honestly say it made all the difference in the world! No need for crutches or sliding down one-step at a time! I have been wearing them for about a week and in this time celebrated my birthday, went grocery shopping, and felt free to move around the house. Do not hesitate to buy these! I don't say this very often these days but this is a high-quality item at a good price! Feel better!
The product does everything that it's supposed to do. I currently have a torn meniscus and I'm waiting for surgery soon. In the meantime, I needed some relief from the stiffness and worry of additional injury. After two days I''m nearly pain free and I know its from the aid of the brace. I do not suggest that the brace be worn against naked skin for long periods i.e. all night long as the material as a tendency to irritate the skin. I wear the brace outside my pants. However, the brace is adaptable enough to be worn under my pants leg. Yesterday I did a fair amount of yard work and noted the extra perspiration under the brace. If the brace is to be worn under the pants perhaps a few holes would let the skin breath some more?
I don't write reviews very often, but I had to take a moment and say how much I love this knee brace. I've been struggling with patellar tracking issues for over a year, and this is the only thing that has helped (besides cross training!). Unfortunately, after running group the other day, I somehow lost it, and I freaked out because I have a race on Sunday. I immediately ordered another one late Tuesday night, and it arrived before 3:30 on Thursday, only this time, I got a free gift with it (a sort of slim fanny pack to hold your stuff while running). I know you're supposed to get 2-day shipping with Amazon prime, but sometimes there is a day or more for processing--not with these folks! I like the way it is completely adjustable, so you can get the tightness that works best for you. It is firm but flexible, so I can run for hours without it pinching or hurting. I also throw it in the wash (not sure if you're supposed to, but it works as long as you secure the velcro first). The wrap does come undone a little if I do intense stretching midway through a run, so I usually have to do a very quick re-velcro if I've bent my knee a lot from stretching, but ultimately this brace has been THE thing for my knee issues. Especially at this price point, highly recommended.
I have had knee problems for quite some time now including three surgeries. I have seen, purchased and used many knee braces and this is the most comfortable brace I have encountered. I like the design where it does not have a third strap in the middle. This one allows your knee to bend to sit comfortably with out something behind the knee taking up space. I have some that give better support but are not as comfortable (by far) or can't be worn under a pair of jeans. For simple, non-surgery type situations this brace is the cat's meow. I'm going to put my copper wear compression gear on underneath this thing for a double wammy and see how it goes. My search for a comfortable brace is over. This comes with a nice mesh carry bag which is a nice option for storage when necessary. The quality of the bag along with the quality make of the brace is fantastic. I am a happy camper.
Bought twice. Had 3 meniscus tears in one knee and this really helped. I bought a few of varying support, I’d say this is just below hardcore support, but it was my most supportive. I unstrapped to sit or drive. It wants to extend your knee so it takes conscious effort to bend knee to lift over a threshold or step. When my other knee had meniscus tears like shredded wheat I could not find this brace so rebought it. That’s how I’ve bought twice. Thank goodness it was available and I didn’t have to test something new. Now that the second knee has been scoped I do wear this occasionally such as 10 days after surgery while putting up outdoor Christmas lights and going up and down the ladder. Also took a couple breaks to work with my son who was shooting on our basketball hoop. I could still “soft demo.” The post-op knee was the issue, not the brace. Love it.
Last week I wanted a second Techware Pro knee brace; Amazon did not have it available. I selected a Winzone knee brace. It is comparable in design with Techware Pro, with slightly greater padding.
I was rather surprised at how short the two horizontal straps are on the Winzone. I can stretch them to hold the brace in place, but not as comfortably or securely as Techware Pro's much longer three horizontal straps.
At this point, I prefer the Techware Pro knee brace. Winzone knee brace is functionally adequate.
