My son loves rescue bot transformers. These are very good build quality considering they have moving parts and are played with pretty heavily. The playskool heroes usually only require 1-2 steps to transform which makes it easy for a preschooler to transform. We have purchased some of the child aged non playskool transformers and there is no way that my son could transform them. This playskool optimus prime is the perfect toy for a preschool aged transformer fan.
The thing I really like as an adult is the Hasbro box each transformer comes in. It feels like you are getting them straight off the factory line and my son likes opening them.
I’ll be honest, when this first arrived I thought it was lame. But that’s not the point because my 3 year old absolutely loves it. It’s indestructible for one and it doesn’t come with weapons like the others. It’s easy for him to transform without help from a grownup which is another bonus. Highly recommended.
My nephew is 5 and he loves this transformer. However, the lid for the transformer’s head is very loose therefore whenever my nephew tries to transform into the truck, it’s nearly impossible to put the head back in. Otherwise, it’s easier for my nephew to transform between the truck and the robot by himself.
