Good book - shame about the proofreading

This is a really good and well written story that is relevant today as it was 30 years ago.... but... the typesetting and spell-checking is dreadful: it looks as though it has been left to a computer program to format and hasn't been proofread afterwards.

This was one of my favorite books as a teenager so I could not bring myself to buy the movie edition.

This is listed as a book club edition but I can't see anything on it that differs from the first edition. I suspect it may be an actual first edition but that's not important to me if it is or is not.

It was listed as "New" and being that it's 35 years old I was shocked this book actually arrived new. It looked like it had never been touched.

This is a rare case where the movie is a as good as the book. They can be very different in key areas, like most good book/movie comparisons. But the book definitely stands on its own. One of the last projects from the great Carl Sagan this is a must read for any sci fi fan, or amateur cosmologist.
