My husband is a self proclaimed "Delicate Flower" and was having some adverse reactions to his usual Old Spice deodorant (I suspect chemical burns). We decided to give Nubian Heritage a shot after deciding we should try an all natural option. This is by far the best deodorant purchase we've ever made! After a week or so of use, my husband's red, peeling armpits were on the mend. Now it's been months since he's started using it and his skin is completely back to normal.
Personally, I am completely in love with the Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver scent. My husband puts it on after his shower and 10+ hours later his pits are still fresh! (I know it's a bit gross that I can attest to this fact first hand, but it needed to be investigated for the sake of this review 😊). The scent is pretty strong, but I think that's why it has so much staying power. I also love that the smell is not stereotypically masculine, and would appeal to men and women alike. If it came in a perfume I'd happily wear it!!
Previously purchased the Abyssinian & Chia Deodorant 24 hour deodorant...love love love love it...keeps odor and sweat at bay and smells divine. I was so thrilled, I (foolishly) purchased five of other scented deodorants (including this one) from the company... No comparison! Even with frequent (reapplication) these scents just don't "cut the mustard". If you must...go with the Abyssinian!
I have used other brands of natural deodorant (Primal Pit Paste) for years with no problems and I do not have sensitive skin. I wanted to try a new fragrance so I bought Nubian Heritage. The smell is light and really nice, something I would like to smell all day but a couple minutes after applying the deodorant, my armpits began to burn and sting. It got worse and worse and became very painful. After about 10 minutes I couldn't take the burning and had to wash it off. This product is not eligible for return so I lost my money.
This is the only deodorant I use. I've tried other natural deodorants, but this is the only one that 1) smells great, 2) works for the majority of a day, 3) goes on smoothly, and 4) isn't super expensive. Plus, my husband is uber sensitive to smells and he loves this stuff. Pretty much all of the other deodorants I've used have been classified as "yuck" or "what the hell are you wearing?" or "did you put on deodorant today? you kinda smell". I'm glad this is available on Amazon too because I've yet to find it at any store. Thanks Nubian Heritage!!!
I started using this deodorant 5 days ago. My arm pits are red, raw, and burning. Ive also noticed my body odor coming through without strenuous activity. I have to reapply several times through out the day. I'm sad as I was hoping this would be my saving grace for a natural deodorant.
