I use the 8 10 20 and 30 lbs J braid on many of my reels. Then i spooled this 15 lb on a new feugo lt 4000 and it broke 3 times in a row about 20 to 30 yds into the cast after trying to retrieve. Not even on hookset. The last time i could see where it would break, it looked kind of fuzzy. No cracks on guide(tested with bud and pantyhose) this had a manufacturing flaw. But how did it get past Q/A? Now it broken and to get refund you have to ship it back. I cut it off, how do i ship that back? Half is in the water where it broke.
I ordered and paid for 300 meters of fishing line. I received what appears to be original packaging, however the spool appeared to have a very small amount of line on it. I pulled the line off the spool and measured approximately 12 1/2 meters of fishing line. This is not even enough to fill 1/10th of a small reel. ????? Doesn't seem possible for this to have left the manufacturer like this. I'm questioning if this is actually the real Daiwa braided line, or a knock-off.
I've lost multiple lures by this line snapping during a cast! Very strange how my 10lb PowerPro has lasted YEARS and given me no problems and my 20lb J-Braid snaps from just the weight of the lure, like it was a 2 or 4 pound line...
I'm not sure what the cause is... I'm not sure if I have a defective batch or if it frays easily or what exactly, but it's getting used exactly the same way I use my KastKing lines and my PowerPro lines and haven't seen such ridiculous issues from either of these...
I thought I know how to use spinning reel, so that I would avoid the wind knot mentioned in other reviews. Turned out I was wrong. It doesn't matter what you do, the thing never stops wind knotting. I think it's because the braid is just too soft. And even worse the color came off a lot. Moss Green color line leaves black mark on your fingers... I really can't figure it out
Don’t buy this line if you plan on casting 1/4 - 5:8 oz lures. It will make a wind knot in your line no matter how careful you are. I’ve used Suffix braid and Power Pro and get the occasional wind knot but this line was impossible. It might be fine for drift fishing or bottom fishing but not for speckle trout fishing with lures period. I have lots of fishing experience and am very proficient fisherman. I gave written only one other review in my life but felt a responsibility to post a review on this line.
